Location and Directions

To reach Cathey’s Creek Falls from downtown Brevard, follow these steps:

Start by heading west on U.S. Highway 64 for approximately 3 miles.
Look for Cathey’s Creek Road on your right, marked by a sign for “Kuykendall Camp.”
Take a right onto Cathey’s Creek Road. Shortly after turning, you’ll notice the road sharply fork to the left and transition to an unpaved surface.
From U.S. 64, keep track of your odometer and continue for about 3.2 miles.
Look for a one-car pull-off on the right side of the road. This pull-off is situated on a one-lane gravel road, just after passing under some power lines.
As you approach the pull-off, you’ll also come across a water treatment plant for the city of Brevard.
Shortly after the water treatment plant, you’ll see a sign indicating “Forest Service Road 471,” marking the entrance to the national forest.
Park your vehicle at the designated pull-off area.
From the pull-off, you’ll notice a trail on the right side that descends steeply downhill, accompanied by the sound of the waterfall.
